CAR LOVERS INVITED TO JUNE 9 2012 EVENT
Cars are the Stars Show and Shine
SOMERS, CONN., – Anyone who enjoys cars – from backyard tinkerers to die-hard enthusiasts – are invited to a special auto show to benefit the The Gene Pitney Commemorative Committee Fund. On Saturday, June 9 The Cars are the Stars and Rockville Bank will present the forth annual “Cars are the Stars Show and Shine” at Pleasant View Cafe and Golf Center 452 South Road, Route 83 in Somers, Connecticut. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain date is Saturday, June 23.
People are encouraged to bring their cars for “show” at only $5 per car. Hundreds of cars are expected, from antiques to classics to muscle cars to “future classics” (including those of late 1980s which will be classics in the years ahead). A total of 25 Best of Show trophies will be presented. The event also will feature a D.J. playing great oldies, food and prizes.
